Single Batch -Three Hearted Strong Pale Ale

Our most recent Single Batch Release, called Three Hearted, is a Pale ale hopped solely with Centennial Hops. Most of the hops were added late in the boil giving the beer a fantastic piney hop flavor and aroma. With one pound per barrel of Centennial hops for dry hopping, it has a wonderful aroma as well. The specialty malts provide balance to the mild bitterness up front. With 6.5% abv, we’ re calling this one a strong pale ale-not quite an IPA but plenty sturdy for a pale ale. You might be wondering what’ s up with the name of the beer and the fish on the tap handle sticker? Three Hearted was inspired by Bell’ s Brewing’ s (Kalamazoo, MI) Two Hearted, a classic centennial hopped IPA. Two Hearted River is in Northern Michigan and is the central focus in a Hemingway novel. So, we feel our beer is ‘ like’ Two Hearted-only better of course! And don’ t forget, these batches are small, it wont last long. Cheers! Matt
