    Join us in our new Public House as we release Glen's Hop Vice! Deep auburn in color, Glen's 2013 has a fruity citrus aroma and balanced bitterness with mild honey flavors in the middle. With a bold citrus flavors and lingering pine aromas on the finish, Glen's ends with a long lingering hop trail. ABV: 9.8%

    Oakshire Public House Grand Opening!

     

    It’s official! The Oakshire Public House at 207 Madison Street is now open 11a-10p daily.  Our Grand Opening will be this Thursday 5/2 from 5p-10p with live music by the Whiskey Chasers and food available for purchase by Oregon Wood Fired Pizza and Burgers on the Run. No cover, and minors welcome until 8p.

    Another IPA, Sir? Founders Perspective: March 31, 2013

    The 2013 Craft Brewers Conference (CBC) came to a close this past Friday at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. My fifth CBC, a three day event that takes place in a different US City each year; this year’s conference was extraordinary in many ways.

    1% for Watersheds: source water protection program

     

    Oakshire Brewing is proud to announce that 1% of Watershed IPA sales revenue will be set aside for the protection of local watersheds in the territories where the beer is sold. Local land conservation group, the McKenzie River Trust, will be the first recipient of this source water protection program. Join Oakshire & McKenzie River Trust on May 16th 5-8p to celebrate! 

    Beginning January 1st, 2013, 1% of revenue from Watershed IPA sales in the Southern Willamette Valley will be directed to the McKenzie River Trust. Help us celebrate this Thursday 5/16!

    Watershed IPA - now in cans!!

    The Brewers at Oakshire are proud to release their flagship beer, Watershed IPA, in 12-ounce/6-pack cans in March 2013. Watershed IPA is a Northwest style India Pale Ale which highlights the flavors and aromas of our region’s best hops. Sales of the 12-ounce/6-pack cans will begin at 3p on Friday, March 1st at the Oakshire Brewing tasting room and will be distributed to Oregon, Washington, Alaska and Northern Idaho.

    Doggie-Palooza this Sunday!!

    Dog lovers unite! This Sunday afternoon at the World Forestry Center in Portland, we'll be hosting the Oakshire Pooch Pub where you can kick back with a Watershed IPA or Ill-Tempered Gnome.     "Pint in Hand" Gardening at Oakshire Brewing

    April is National Garden Month and here at Oakshire we like to practice "Pint in Hand" gardening throughout the year; and, especially in April! Really, is there anything better than digging in the dirt and drinking beer? To celebrate we will be hosting two workshops at the brewery, graciously taught by community members. These workshops are free but remember, you must have a pint in hand to participate! Workshops are at the Oakshire tasting room and run from 2-3pm, Mark your calendars now.

    Oakshire to Partner with Eugene Tree Foundation

    Join Oakshire Owners, City of Eugene neighborhoods, Union Pacific and Mayor Kitty Piercy and Trainsong Neighborhood association President Nicole Sharette as we work to plant 100 trees along Bethel Drive -that magical road that leads to Oakshire and all things beery! The work party is from 9am - noon on Saturday November 20th and a post party lunch and pint will be at Oakshire following the event. Meet at the American Red Cross building at 9am.

    I found the pot of gold!!

    So I'm driving to work today to cover the third shift of a big IPA brew and I discovered a beautiful surprise!(No, not Sam Terral) We had a break in the winter rain today and I spent some time outside in the sun finishing some projects around the house. Of course, the rain came back prior to my arrival at the brewery, but fortunately, it led me to the pot of gold at the end of this rainbow!Sometimes the rain ain't so bad.......
