Do you know how far we distribute?
by Jeff Althouse | Published: September 7, 2011
We may not have made a big deal out of it last month, but you can now find Oakshire beer as far north as Seattle. That makes our distribution area from Southern Oregon thru Seattle Washington. And for all you Washingtonians, if you can't find us, let your favorite place know that Odom covers the whole state for Oakshire, except for SW Washington/Vancouver where we have Stein selling our beer.

Our beers seem to come and go and fly off the taps faster than I can tell you about them, but look what we have for the lineup this week. Lil' Smokey is a beer we are calling a Petite Smoked Porter, but more on that in a moment. I also went digging into the cooler and found a 2010 Very Ill Tempered Gnome. This is an Imperial version of our winter seasonal, Ill Tempered Gnome. We only have enough for growlers, tasters and on Friday and Saturday (if it lasts), pints. It's 9.1 %, so come get a little winter in August!

With the North American Organic Brewers Festival tabbed for this weekend, our brewers created a 100% organic ingredient Belgian-style Pale Ale. This golden ale is light and effervescent with the signature Belgian yeast aromas and flavors. It has a sturdy hop balance from Organic German Tradition Hops. As they should, our brewers gave consideration to the "people, planet, profit" (TBL) when crafting this newest creation. Come try it today in the tasting room or around town. As always, Single Batch Series Beers are draft only and limited. Cheers!

The next of our Single Batch Beers has arrived and is currently pouring at the tasting room. Blind Date is a Belgian-Style Brown Ale made with Organic Dates. We made Blind Date especially for the first annual Portland Fruit Beer Fest and it was met with amazing compliments. This newest beer is a light bodied brown ale with mild roasty notes from the use of toasted oats. Raisin and date flavors intermingle with the fruity Belgian-yeast strain providing exceptional balance for this 5% abv ale. As always, single batch beers are limited in quantity and draft only. Cheers!
