We made a new beer in our Single Batch Series of beers called Big Black Jack that flew out of the brewery before I got a pint of it. If you didn't see it at our tasting room, there are still a few more kegs floating around town and a handful in Portland and Seattle. I know you can find it at our Beer Belly dinner at Eastburn on November 10th and at the Night of the Living Ales in Portland on Saturday October 29th at Burnside Brewing.

The Single Batch Series at Oakshire continues to pump out new and unique beers. They seem to roll out of the tanks and out of the cooler faster than we can tell you about them. I've been behind because these beers have moved out of our coolers, but I suspect you are seeing them around Oregon and Washington. We did a little something different this year and used three hop varieties from three different Willamette Valley Hop Farmers. The base beer is an American Pale Ale.

Our next Single Batch Series Beer is now available at the tasting room. Rootstalk Gold is a golden ale spiced with Rose Hips, Elder Flowers, Lemon Verbena and Meadowsweet. The beer was made for the first Rootstalk Festival put on by Mountain Rose Herbs. Aromatic and light, this beer is perfect for the Indian Summer I'm predicting that will start any day now. Cheers!
