Good evening Oakshire fans, Just wanted to send out a quick post and wish everyone an early Merry Christmas and give everyone a heads up on Dock Sale hours and Tours and Tastings this weekend! We will be open today, Thursday 12/24, for Dock Sales during our regular hours from 3-6PM. We will be closed tomorrow in observance of the Christmas holiday. However, on Saturday we will be open for Tours, Tastings, Dock Sales, and delicious grub from our mobile vendors friends at Devour.

So we have quite a few Oakshire events, promotions, and festivals coming up in April and the rest of the year for that matter. I will be posting monthly updates here about what events are coming up the following month. We would love to see you at one, two, or even all of them if you have time! Additionally, if you know of any events or festivals that we are not in please let us know so we can look into them and see if it would be a great fit! Here you go....

I had the fortunate chance to meet an awesome individual last Thursday. His name is Lloyd Palmer and he is an avid tap handle collector, something like 800+, wowzer! He collects as many Oregon micro handles as he can get and IPA's from anywhere.

On Wednesday, March 4th, the Oakshire expansion achieved another significant milestone. The concrete was poured for the new floor! All told, we brought in 30 yards of concrete, via three Knife River cement trucks. Ehlers Construction, the General Contractor on the expansion, allowed us to dye the concrete and we went with a nice Adobe color as the brochure called it. The dark brown hue is a nice change of pace to the usual and boring gray color concrete comes in. Next up we'll be completing the electrical and mechanical side of things followed by insulation, drywall, and painting.

Although construction broke ground in late November 2008 we are putting up our first pictures of the initial stages. We will be adding more pictures as the expansion progresses. Cheers!

Hello Oakshire fans, We would like to announce that we have finally joined the world wide phenomenon known as blogging. However, if you are actually reading this it has probably already become quite evident of that fact.
