Save the Farmhouse!
by amanda | Published: July 12, 2012Our new Belgian Style Farmhouse Ale is 100% organic and makes for a refreshing beverage on a hot summer evening. Not only did we send this beer up to Portland to be served at the 2012 North American Organic Beer festival, but we saved enough to be poured in our Tasting Room. ‘Save the Farmhouse Ale’ is a hazy, golden colored beer that finishes dry with a mild bitterness. The spicy aroma really makes this ale one of a kind.

It has a fruity nose with a light lemon aroma beneath. Flavors of sweet fruits and crusty bread dominate. The Finish is dry and crisp, with a bitter snap of hops at the end.

by matt | Published: March 2, 2012Following on the heels of our very successful (and tasty) Belgian inspired ale, Black Wit, we present to you Domaine du Lane. This Farmhouse Ale, more specifically known as a biere de garde originated in Northern France and the French speaking regions in Belgium. They are rustic ales with a broad range of characteristics. In general they are copper/amber to light brown and usually more malty and toasty than their cousins, the Saison. Hearty and fruity often help describe them and they may have a unique blend of spices if the brewer chooses.
